60 hours in Istanbul

From the many Istanbul adventures, today we remember this one time with Ilhan Ersahin and Erik Truffaz at Nublu. It was a magical musical journey, and the two days and nights we spent in Istanbul back then were so full of adventures, music and color, everything blended into a two-day party.

Istanbul Sessions as Belgrade Sessions

Ilhan Ersahin has already been the topic of conversation here a couple of times. The reasons are many – innovator, discoverer, teacher. The occasion this time is the upcoming concert of his formation Istanbul Sessions in Belgrade on December 1st of this year. A logical continuation of last year’s explosive show during Belgrade Jazz Festival, that kept the audience at the America hall in the Youth Center on their feet for more than two hours.

The Istanbul Four

Each new album by Ilhan Ersahin's Istanbul Sessions is a challenge. Over the years, we learned not to judge before we heard the whole album a few times. It was the same with the last, fifth studio album, released a week ago. Against the background of the whole modern situation, the quartet released an album full of life and hope.

The new format of The Bad Plus

The new format of The Bad Plus was promoted of the digital edition of the New York Jazz Fest this year. Today we are listening to the first play from their upcoming album.
