GoGo Penguin - also known as the equivalent to Radiohead in British jazz. They were participants in this year’s Tokyo jazz fest. As serious as ever, they greeted everyone, and said they are excited about the upcoming live shows. And we can’t wait until June 6th - they day, when their new album GoGo Penguin comes out.

Yakamoz is the word used to describe the glowing plankton in the southern sea. And everyone that encounters this sight for the first time can’t believe the magic. The story takes place where the Aegean Sea becomes the Mediterranean, and everything is an organized mess. Today we have an Anatolian story, that softens us up and makes us laugh at the same time. 

A quote by the French novelist Romain Gary hasn’t left my head: “Nothing can stop people from coming to Greece, but the typhus”. Greece, where you can bathe in the sky and the gods keep walking on the ground, according to Henry Miller. 

As of May 8th the new mini-album (EP) of Ilhan Erşahin’s band Wonderland can be found on all digital platforms. Actually, this is the remastered sound of a video, recorded in 2013 on a terraces in Istanbul - that is also the name of the album “On the terrace”. We are happy about the concept of Erşahin issuing some of his old live recordings. They almost fully recreate the emotion of the live playing.

​​​​​​​There is something special about early and belated sailing, those outside the season and the hot summer. During May and June, as well as after the middle of September, all the tourist boats disappear, and only the truly devoted to the sea remain.

Going through old pictures from Sarajevo reminded us of our meeting with Klezmerson during the 22nd Sarajevo Jazz Fest. That is why today we listen to an unqualified type of music, where Balkan and gypsy rhythms are mixed with Klezmer - Jewish traditional music. All that is seen through the Mexican point of view of Benjamin Shwartz and his band Klezmerson.
