Curiosity

The thing with curiosity is that it can open many doors for you, but it can also put you in a corner. Today we talk about its many faces, where it takes us, and how we cannot control it.

When you feel like an empty basket, that you can fill with many different things, a small spark of bravery is enough to begin with.

Curiosity brings us unsuspected excitement and an inner strength, leading us to believe we can do anything. That only works until a certain point. After you dive in and get more context, things begin to look a little different.

Curiosity broadens horizons and brings out unsuspected talents. If you are brave enough.

And yes, curiosity is a driving force.

But what can curiosity do to our pursuits — musical, literary, artistic. And where would this process take us? Nobody knows…

Then comes an even more interesting phase — curiosity with room to grow — where else can this take me? And what is behind all of that?

Each time you are walking the fine line between fun and danger.

Can another language open more doors? Can more knowledge in a certain sphere make us dive deeper? It can!

You can be mad at yourself about the results. No one is ready for what they find behind each door.

But this process keeps us whole, and fights off Alzheimer’s, as we like to joke in our close circle. But it also feeds bravery. Because without bravery every new door would stay shut.

Today we feed curiosity with a couple of self-contradicting pieces, that were discovered thanks to curiosity.

The building power of curiosity. Many contradicting things have happened to ours throughout the years. Today we have a small example of that.

To start off we have “Kashmir” by Led Zeppelin, this time Robert Plant and Jimmy Page are in a North African environment.
We continue with “Adelaide” by Aquarium - a song that goes beyond time.
Surprisingly here we remember one of the heaviest rebetiko songs "Θεέ μου Μεγαλοδύναμε".
Followed by the beautiful and poetic Karma" by Iiro Rantala.
To wrap things up an old favourite by the Serbian jazz band Fish in Oil.

We truly have fun and never limit the universe - the musical universe that is. Have fun and enjoy the journey.
