Hello December

We welcome the winter month with a bunch of new music. Today we take a look at some interesting recent titles, and add some missed earlier surprises with a focus on the participants in the latest current festivals. This makes for an interesting playlist with new music. The pieces we listen to today almost go around the globe - there is music from Europe and America, Asia and Africa, Australia...
Our December is colourful and full of old acquaintances and new discoveries, vibrant and particoloured. Make yourself comfortable, put on your warm socks and travel mentally across lands and continents like we do. The beginning is with the eternal Iggy Pop and a brand new piece. He is followed by another favourite musician of ours, Ibrahim Maalouf accompanied by a magical violin.

This is where the great Yemen Blues project comes in, featuring big contemporary names pianist Brian Marcella and bassist Shanir Blumenkranz. Somewhat naturally, the new name in Turkish independent music, Melike Sahin comes next, followed by another great lady in music, Fatoumata Diawara.

Moby surprises us with a remix of David Bowie's timeless Heroes, and then we listen again to Locomondo's charging reggae with Andriana Babali.
To finish, two interesting instrumental projects - new ideas from Australia's The Shaolin Afronauts and London boys Ezra Collective.

And so with each successive play we seem to forget the previous one, and the journey is unpredictable and fun.
Wishing you a merry and colourful December as we kick off the winter sessions.
