Hiromi returns

September greets us with anticipation for the upcoming album of our favorite Japanese pianist Hiromi Uehara - this time in a piano quintet version, in which her piano is accompanied by a string quartet. The album "Silver Lining Suite" will be released on October 8, but several songs released so far give an idea of the new horizons that Hiromi discovers and conquers.

Always unpredictable and bursting with emotion, devoted to the end and emotionally giving, Hiromi manages to surprise us all with each of her projects. Her talent to go to polar opposite mental states, in which she transfers the souls of her listeners, is part of the trademark of the Japanese musician. On the other hand, she has the courage to experiment from solo piano, through duets with giants like Chick Corea to her piano trio project with Sir Simon Phillips on drums and Anthony Jackson on bass.

In her latest project, Hiromi decided to play with a string quartet. A move that comes somehow logically and naturally and beautifully complements her multifaceted piano. The change of tempo, the jokes with different genres, through which it passes with ease, bring pleasure from the first chords. But we also observe a new depth and fullness of sound - in complete harmony with the leading voice of the piano.

In a short interview on the occasion of the new project, Hiromi sincerely shared that she could not define it by genre, but sincerely hoped that fans of different types of music would like it, without restrictions. Because music, according to the pianist herself, is food for the soul.
Today we give an example with two songs from the upcoming album "Silver Lining Suite”:

The studio version of the play - Ribera Del Duero

and a live performance of the play 11:49PM

And we look forward to October to immerse ourselves in the magic of Hiromi and her piano once again.
