Music from Greece

In the first summer week, this Friday we serve you a big dose of positive energy. From personal experience, after a quick recharge in Greece, we have one thing to say - if you want positivity and joy of life, listen to our Greek summer playlist.

Happy and recharged today we gather twenty of our favourite Greek songs, that spark eternal joy, as Salinger liked to say. And they somehow keep us alive in these troubling times.

A little bit about the music:

We start off with our favourites Locomondo and “Odysseia”, where they travel through Greece. What follows is Panos Mouzourakis with “August” straight out of Thessaloniki. We then go on a sailing trip with Kostis Maraveyas and “Lola”. Follows by two beautiful female vocals - Eleonora Zouganeli and Rena Morfi. We can’t go without the blues song “Maybe”. Somewhere around the middle of the playlist you will find the “Who is this George” by Lavrentis Machairitsas and “Athletic Type” by Spyros Grammenos, both filled with lighthearted humour.

Some more songs performed by our favourite entechno-musicians bring us towards the end, where we have prepared the original version of the famous old classic “Fragosiriani” performed by Márkos Vamvakáris in 1932.

Let the summer explode, while we enjoy the positive energy and humour coming from these songs during the long summer days and nights. Musicaround's Greek playlist.
