New arrivals April

We are starting off into April - the first real spring month with a couple of new additions to the musical platforms. Today for a good mood we listen to Julian Lage, followed by Israeli band Quarter to Africa, and to wrap things up we have Iggy Pop’s latest project.
Our old accomplice Julian Lage, together with Dave King on drums and Jorge Roeder on the bass have released the first single from their upcoming album. Knowing the music of the guitar player, with great excitement we await his new project, and today we enjoy the song Saint Rose.
We continue with the new song of some other favourites - the boys from Jaffa “Quarter to Africa”. Fresh like always, with an addition of the interesting combinations between the oud and wind instruments, they somehow create a spring feeling.
With a nod to Dave Brubeck the Israeli band issues their new single “Take 50”. What would happen if Brubeck were to be born in Ethiopia - so playfully the musicians annunciate their record.
And they continue - we all grew up with the music by Brubeck and Paul Desmond, and everything is a matter of rhythm.
Our third new suggestion is the collaboration between Iggy Pop and the legendary American organist Dr. Lonnie Smith and the positive song Sunshine Superman. The name of Iggy is a trademark for class and good taste. Today he proves this again.
