New Beginning
What better start for the new year than new music. We kick off 2021 with the new project of keyboard virtuoso Jason Lindner and multi-instrumentalist Nate Wood on drums, bass and pedals in their latest project Legator. Heritage is the first association that comes to mind from the title. New hope, new beginning. Music full of meaning - stepping on yesterday and today and aiming for our tomorrow. Music full of optimism and rhythm.
A few words about the project - it was recorded live in October 2019, but was released only in early December this year. Lindner and Wood are part of the Nublu Circle in New York. Jason Lindner's name is first associated with his participation in David Bowie's album Blackstar, for the performance of which, he and several other musicians from his entourage were personally selected by Bowie during the group's gig at a New York bar. But in fact, Lindner's story does not begin with Blackstar, and to our delight - does not end with it. Lindner is constantly active and participates in many different projects such as Now vs Now, the latest album of drummer Mark Guiliana Beat Music, the albums of saxophonist Donny McCaslin. Nate Wood, on the other hand, will also amaze you with his views of music. He is a musician with great vision and courage. Together, the two give us a fresh start. Powerful, exciting and real. With so many spirals - through the Balkans and New York, Brazil and Japan; across the globe - modern and pulsating.
Two contemporary poets and musicians who, above all, play live. And that's the magic. Because every live brings surprises and new, different energy.
Unexpected combinations and flight of mind in two real poets and artists. This is the music of Lindner and Wood.
That's why we decided to start the new year with Legator. Because it brings a future!
