Snarky Puppy. A story about Michael League and his orchestra

Years ago, at a bar in Rhodes, while sitting under a fan, hanging from a tree we struck up a conversation with the boy at the bar – a bass player (and in Greece the staff has always studied something different to what they are doing). He overheard us talking about music and asked – Have you heard of Snarky Puppy? And I most definitely had…

I couldn’t help but wonder – who has not heard of Snarky Puppy?

Here is a little bit about Snarky Puppy and Michael League, who plays the bass.

Judging by today’s standards, Snarky Puppy are a major band. From our subjective perspective, they are a bridge and that’s why they’ve ended up here. They are lively and dynamic in the way they portray the world. A band whose members met at University, that has made it to the Grammy’s three times. Each of the members is on their own path, leaving their own trace behind. Incredibly refreshing, young, vibrant and different people. At the same time, they are deep, thorough and somewhat serious, but carrying the energy of what’s to come. Something specific about them is the humour and the feeling of lightness. If you’d like to make the move to the other side – the other kind of music, this is surely one of the right ways. No compromise was made with quality here.
A word of warning – we have no idea where it might take you…
Just an example – Snarky Puppy feat. Magda Giannikou – a delight for all the senses and strong proof that honest music and its story takes you on a journey. It grabs you and sweeps you off your feet.
