Welcome to 2024

Another year has passed. A different year. Spent most of it to the south, next to water and harbour. A year in which the universe reminded us how small we are and dropped disaster after disaster on our heads. Fires and floods took turns proving how weak we are to nature. But also a year for meeting friends, long talks and smiles.

The past year has given us an unexpected reunion and now we are in the company of two cats that the universe left in the parking lot of our house last summer. Two souls who give love. And of course, like all cats, they are bosses to us all. We adopted them and now we are together. And they turned out to be travellers and, despite popular opinion that cats are territorial predators, have no problem changing environments. As long as we are together.

In the hope that each of us will do a kindness and open our hearts in the days ahead, we wish everyone a happy and joyous new year. Warmth and love-filled days ahead! Many reunions with loved ones and friends! And we are starting the new year 2024 with a bang and after the big holidays, we are enjoying the citrus season again and our daily life tastes and smells of oranges, lemons, tangerines and grapefruits.

Meanwhile, in the sea full of fishing boats in front of us, life continues to surprise us. As does our favourite local radio station, which in recent days has been offering us Depeche Mode's timeless hit "Personal Jesus" - this time in an Iggy Pop rendition. And when Iggy is involved, the listen is worth it. Happy New Year!
