2021 in music - spring

As every year, at the end of this one we collect the new music that was interesting to us. This time we will divide it into four parts, according to the seasons. This week we continue with the second part - the spring of 2021. The first part can be recalled here аnd we are once again traveling through cities, countries and continents - this time in North and South America, Europe, Australia and Japan.
The beginning is about Aquarium and Boris Grebenshchikov with the song “The Revenge of Queen Anna". A song that musicians play and dream of the eponymous corsair sailing ship of the pirate Blackbeard. They dream of freedom.
April - the first real spring month, brings us new additions, including a piece from the upcoming album of Julian Lage.
We continue with the new album of the ever-changing Annie Clark (aka St. Vincent).
Here comes the turn of another young singer and musician - the Greek Semeli and her musical incarnations from traditional rebetiko to rap music.
Our diverse women's line continues with music from the US-based Argentine singer Sofia Rei.
We are moving to Europe with the next song by the young Polish pianist Hania Rani and her futuristic music.
It's time to jump to Australia with the music of The Shaolin Afronauts. "Interstellar Futuristic Afro-Soul" - this is how musicians define their playing style, not without a sense of humor.
The finale of this part is a piece from the last album of the Japanese pianist Yoko Miwa - one of the most serious names in piano music these days.
Next week we continue with the interesting new projects that appeared during the summer months of 2021.
