New York Winter Jazz fest – highlights

This week we dedicate to the New York Winter Jazz fest 2019 and the music that we heard. It is with great pleasure that we share this information about the festival, because the main names on the programme were people we featured throughout the three months of musicaround.bg’s existence. On the programme this year we once again listened to Jamie Saft with his current project – Blue Dream in formation quartet. Medeski Martin and Wood with Alarm will Sound, Marc Ribot with the project Songs of resistance, Now vs Now by Jason Lindner with his latest album, Buffering Cocoon and Aaron Parks's latest album Little Big.

For the fifteenth year in a row, the festival gathers a bigger part of the Big Apple’s independent musicians for a rathon of good music. We always follow the program with great interest, because it shows us what happened throughout the past years and what we can expect for the future. A bit like adjusting our clocks. And we can say that our clock is properly working and we’re listening to the current projects with great pleasure. Innovative, different, familiar, new searches and new ideas. Music is like water – it doesn’t stay in one place.
