New arrivals April

We are starting off into April - the first real spring month with a couple of new additions to the musical platforms. Today for a good mood we listen to Julian Lage, followed by Israeli band Quarter to Africa, and to wrap things up we have Iggy Pop’s latest project.

Academia da Berlinda - 8° south of the Equator

Sax and pedals

Saxophone player Guillaume Perret got a classical training and is better known as a studio musician and an author for theatre and film scores. Today the art by the French sound explorer brings us back to live shows and to the pleasure of experiencing live music.

Polar Bear - Held on the Tips of Fingers

This record, with its melodic sound and feeling for drama and humour, sudden turns and unimaginable combinations, is also present in the list of the 100 albums that have changed the direction of jazz by respected British publication Jazzwise.
